Vauxhall consults public over plan for 450 homes

Vauxhall is publicly consulting on proposals that could see hundreds of homes built on one of its sites.

The company said it is not using its 60-acre Chaul End Vehicle Storage Centre to its full potential, and has submitted proposals for 450 new houses to be developed on the land to Central Bedfordshire Council.

Julian Lyon, GM’s European property manager, said ten staff would be relocated locally.

Once feedback from workshops has been considered a full public exhibition will be held.
